AmCham Ukraine welcomes the adoption of Draft Law #5090 “On Amendments to the Budget Code of Ukraine on the Regulation of Budgetary Relations in the Implementation of Contracts Concluded within the Framework of Public-Private Partnerships, Including Concession Contracts” (Draft Law) in the second reading.
The Draft Law ensures the practical application of the norms of the laws of Ukraine “On Public-Private Partnership” and “On Concession” for all areas of activity, determines the conditions for increasing investment to modernize and create new infrastructure and provide high-quality public services.
Develop vital infrastructure through the involvement of the private sector to attract investments and promote growth is one of the 10 Steps for Ukraine’s Economic Recovery and Growth 2021 developed by AmCham Ukraine experts. Accelerating this process is critical and, in turn, will help increase the efficiency of state-owned enterprises, restore vital infrastructure, create new jobs and attract private investment.
We look forward to the soonest signing of this Draft Law by the President of Ukraine and further successful implementation of its provisions.
