Policy Win: The Cabinet of Ministers Recommended the NBU to Ensure the Implementation of Transfers on Tourism Services Import Operations

The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine welcomes the Government’s decision to amend the Annex of the CMU Resolution #153 “On Certain Issues regarding Ensuring the Implementation of Imports” dated April 28.

According to the adopted amendments, the list of services now also includes:

  • temporary accommodation services, as well as related services (hotel, catering, transport rental, and transfer services);
  • services for the purchase of tickets for air, rail, road, river, sea transport, as well as booking and payment for cruises, rent of river boats, boats and other vessels;
  • services for organizing tours, international events for sports, exhibition business and event purposes;
  • services for booking packages of tourism services.

Experts of AmCham Ukraine Hospitality & Tourism Committee  supported the adoption of the respective amendments to the legislation and advocated for the expansion of the list of services for import operations which are recommended to ensure the implementation of transfers by the National Bank. The adoption of the respective amendments will support the national economy in martial law's legal regime conditions, as well as enable tour operators to carry out currency settlements with foreign partners for the travel services they provide.
