Policy Win: Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade Took a Decision on Inexpediency for Launching a Special Investigation of Import of Certain Dairy Products in Ukraine

Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade (Commission) considered the application from the group of companies on launching a special investigation of import of certain dairy products in Ukraine regardless of the country of origin.

The Chamber member companies' experts properly analyzed the influence of import of certain dairy products in Ukraine and made a conclusion that the application of special import measures can contradict consumers’ interests and international economic interests of Ukraine.

The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine addressed the Commission's Chairman and members asking to consider the inexpediency for launching a special investigation.

As a result of a comprehensive consideration of the Chamber’s letter, the Commission came to the decision  #СП–481/2021/4411-03 on inexpediency for launching a special investigation of import of certain dairy products in Ukraine.

We are grateful to the Commission's Chairman and members for the immediate and comprehensive consideration of this issue.

We will continue to work in the directions of consumer rights protection and facilitation of international trade.
