The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine was selected finalist of AmChams in Europe (ACE) Creative Network Award 2024 with its project Wartime Economic Empowerment for Ukrainian Women Leaders.
It is a comprehensive joint program of AmCham Ukraine, the U.S. Government and partners, which is aimed at fostering resilience and providing Ukrainian women entrepreneurs and AmCham member companies' female leaders with necessary resources and opportunities to scale their skills and grow their businesses despite hardship.
The program included the following initiatives: webinar series "Empowering Ukrainian Women Entrepreneurs Through Trade" with the U.S. Department of Commerce (2023), “Practical Business Development Program” with the U.S. Department of Commerce and WMarketplace (2023),“Empowered Women's Leadership Program” with the U.S. Department of State, and “Pilot Mentorship Initiative” with the U.S. Department of Commerce (2024).
“We are truly honored to be recognized among 50 AmChams, and extremely grateful to the U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. Department of State, WMarketplace, and all the partners for the great cooperation in supporting and empowering Ukrainian women leaders during Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. We are inspired by tangible outcomes as participants’ business growth, job creation, and enhanced leadership capabilities. Our team has ambitious plans for the project’s development, so stay tuned,” commented Yuliana Chyzhova, Communications Director, who presented the project on behalf of AmCham Ukraine team at the ACE Annual Best Practice meeting in Lisbon, Portugal, on September 26, 2024.

The AmChams in Europe Creative Network Award was established in 2014 to incentivize AmChams to share creative initiatives and projects for the benefit of AmChams throughout the ACE network.
The winner is AmCham Finland. The shortlisted 2024 ACE Creative Network Award finalists are: Bulgaria (Empower HER Program), Finland (Launchpad USA), Latvia (American Music Night), Slovakia (Mapping of the Potential of Eastern Slovakia) and Ukraine (Wartime Economic Empowerment for Ukrainian Women Leaders).
In 2023, AmCham Ukraine won the award for Continuity amid Crisis: How to Steer AmCham through Country's Hardship (on the example of running AmCham in wartime Ukraine). In 2020, AmCham Ukraine won AmChams in Europe Creative Network Award 2020 for its Leadership in Times of Crisis project.
