Piraeus Bank in Ukraine is a part of the Piraeus Financial Holdings S.A. which is a financial holdings Company, listed on the Athens Stock Exchange, and is the parent company of the banking institution “Piraeus Bank S.A.” (Athens, Greece).
Piraeus Bank was founded in 1916 and is one of the of the systemic banks in Europe, regulated by the European Central Bank.
Piraeus Bank Group offers a full range of financial products and services to 6.1 mn customers in Greece. The Group's total assets are 77 bn euros, the loan portfolio is 35.2 bn euros, and customer deposits has reached 58.1 bn euros (as of the end of June 2023).
In Ukraine, the Piraeus Bank Group launched its activities in 2007 and strategically focused on Corporate and Private clients.
Recently, Piraeus Bank joined the Ukraine Business Compact, which calls on international business to help Ukraine modernise, build a resilient and flexible economy, and emerge from the current conflict as a strong, prosperous state.
Piraeus Bank has a long-term credit rating on the national scale of uaAA from RA "Standard-Rating". The Bank is authorized by the Pension Fund of Ukraine to pay the pensions and cash support funds, and is also a Member of the Individual Deposit Guarantee Fund.
