Since 1992, our members have voted once a year and elected the American Chamber Board of Directors. The Board delivers your voice and identifies the strategy and the vision in line with your priorities and needs.
Starting from these 2023 Elections, the Board of Directors Elections will be conducted in a new format. Each Director shall serve a term of 2 years and may be re-elected. The term of office of a Director shall terminate upon the expiry of such two–year term. This year you, our members, through voting, elected additional 6 Members to the Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, who will serve throughout a two–year term. According to the Bylaws of the Chamber, there shall be not less than six (6) and not more than sixteen (16) Directors. The current Board members have agreed to continue serving for one more year of a two-year- term continuing to deliver the voice of business as they identify the strategy and the vision of companies' priorities and needs.
There were 11 nominees on the ballot. Only those candidates that received more than 33,33% of the vote have been elected to serve. According to the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine bylaws, "A Director of the Board of Directors shall be elected by a plurality of the votes so cast, provided, however, that such Director has received the vote of more than 33,33% of the votes entitled to be cast by the members".
