AmCham welcomes the adoption of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine #136 “On Approval of the List of Inland Marine Waters and Inland Waterways Classified as Navigable” dated February 9, 2022.
The list was developed and adopted in compliance with the provisions of the Law of Ukraine “On Inland Water Transport” and the Water Code of Ukraine. It systemizes all waterways, allows to clearly define the parameters of operational dredging or increase the dimensions of the navigable channel, in particular when forming a plan for waterways works.
We are grateful to the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Cabinet of Ministers for the compromise reached on this issue and consideration of the business community’s proposals on:
- expanding the list of navigable waterways sections, in particular on Dnipro and Pivdenny Bug rivers
- updating information on the name and classification of the list of inland waterways
- determining the area of inland marine waters
