On June 30, 2023, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (VRU) adopted the Draft Law #8290 “On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine on Improving State Regulation of Food Safety and Livestock”.
The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine (AmCham) welcomes the adoption of this Draft Law aimed at improving the Ukrainian legislation in the field of food safety and quality, animal feed, animal health and welfare, as well as harmonizing it with EU legislation.
The experts of the AmCham Food & Beverage Committee took an active part in the development of the Draft Law in the framework of the working group under the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and during its amendment under the VRU Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy.
We would like to thank the experts of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and the members of the VRU Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy for their consistent work on the Draft Law and for supporting the AmCham proposals.
