Policy Win: Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Adopted the Resolution #650 “On Certain Issues of Conscripts’ Reservation during Martial Law”

On June 5, 2024 the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (CMU) adopted the Resolution #650 “On Certain Issues of Conscripts’ Reservation during Martial Law”, which amends the CMU Resolution #76 “Certain Issues of Implementation of the Provisions of the Law of Ukraine "On Mobilization Training and Mobilization" regarding Conscripts’ Reservation for the Period of Mobilization and for Wartime”.

Among the key amendments introduced by Resolution #650, the Chamber member companies comprehensively advocated the adoption of the following changes:

  • increase of the reservation period from 6 to 12 months;
  • introduction of the electronic reservation mechanism;
  • reservation of conscripts with scarce military accounting specialties.

The Chamber welcomes the government's decision to improve the conditions for reservation – we are convinced that the above-mentioned changes will help improve the business environment in Ukraine.

The Chamber expresses its gratitude to Yuliya Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Economy of Ukraine, and Ihor Fomenko, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine for the continuous dialogue and close cooperation regarding issues of employees’ reservation, and for considering proposals developed by AmCham Ukraine member companies’ experts. We hope to continue constructive cooperation on the implementation of a systematic update of approaches to the reservation of conscripts for the period of mobilization and for wartime.
