Business welcomes the introduction of a provision that will simplify the voluntary enforcement of court decisions

The President of Ukraine signed Law of Ukraine #4833-IX “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine regarding the Improvement of the Procedure for Enforcement of Court Decisions and Decisions of Other Authorities, and the Digitization of Certain Stages of Enforcement Proceedings” (the Law).

In particular, the Law provides for amendments to procedural legislation regarding the inclusion in the complaint of the plaintiff’s bank details or the preferred method of receiving funds.

The business community has repeatedly emphasized the need to improve regulatory frameworks to ensure the voluntary enforcement of court decisions and, in particular, has proposed introducing a requirement to include the plaintiff’s bank details or the preferred method of receiving funds in the complaint. This proposal was considered during the drafting of the legislative amendments.

For businesses, this provision has significant practical importance, as it will facilitate more effective voluntary enforcement of court decisions and help avoid unnecessary time and financial costs associated with compulsory enforcement.

We are grateful to the Members of Parliament, the members of the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Policy, and all participants in the legislative process who contributed to the consideration and incorporation of the business community’s proposals.
