The event brought together legal experts in the energy industry to discuss the current state of the hydrogen industry, as well as the opportunities and challenges of energy reform, and the European integration of Ukraine's energy system.
Valentyn Gvozdiy noted that last year was a landmark for the energy system of Ukraine as the power systems of Ukraine and Moldova were fully synchronized with the European power network (ENTSO-E).
The advantages for Ukraine are obvious — synchronization will allow Ukraine to continuously export electricity to Europe, get better investment opportunities, and stimulate development in the European energy space in accordance with rules and standards clear for investors.
Sergiy Oberkovych noted that the creation of a powerful hydrogen industry is also a fundamental priority for our state. Ukraine is identified as one of the key partners of the European Alliance for participation in the production and export of hydrogen, taking into account natural resources, interconnected infrastructure, and the level of technological development.
That is why the main goal of our state after the end of the war will be reconstruction, which will be based on the potential of renewable energy, carbon-neutral power generation, as well as the construction of smart energy systems to decentralize and ensure the stability of functioning.
