Supporting Ukraine Amid War
On February 24, 2022, the russian federation, with the support of the republic of belarus, started the despicable war against Ukraine.
The russian army is killing civilians, women, and children throughout Ukraine, bombarding houses of innocent Ukrainians, maternity hospitals, kindergartens, shooting ambulances, civilian and volunteer vehicles, and attacking nuclear power plants in 21st century Europe.
During these challenging times for Ukraine, the duty of AmCham Ukraine and the entire business community is to support Ukraine and all Ukrainians. AmCham Ukraine team did its best to continue to work to support our community. We are available on the phone, Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp, Zoom, and email to handle all your requests and issues.
On October 5, AmCham Ukraine presented the results of AmCham Ukraine Business Climate Survey – Forecasting in Uncertainty.
- 77% of companies believe the war will end in 2023, and 12% - in 2024.
- 92% of AmCham Ukraine member companies think Ukraine will win the war.
- 98% of AmCham Ukraine member companies plan to continue operations in Ukraine in 2023.
Andy Hunder, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, said: "After 224 days of war, 92% of AmCham Ukraine members believe that Ukraine will win the war, 77% think that the war will end in 2023. Despite the challenges brought by Russia's brutal and unprovoked war against Ukraine, business continues to believe and work in Ukraine. 98% of AmCham Ukraine member companies plan to continue operations in 2023. The business community is resilient and united and already setting a stretch target for 2023, which is a positive signal for the upcoming year."
