AmCham Ukraine welcomes the signing of the Law of Ukraine #4122-IX “On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine on Improving the Regulation of Production and Circulation of Dietary Supplements, and Regulation of Other Issues in Healthcare” (Law) by the President of Ukraine on March 27, 2025.
The Law establishes the procedure for submitting notifications on placing dietary supplements on the market and maintaining a list of such notifications.
AmCham Ukraine member companies provided their comments and suggestions regarding:
- support for the implementation of a list of permitted substances and their acceptable dosages for vitamins, minerals, and other substances in dietary supplements;
- the need to develop a procedure and methodology for assessing the impact of vitamins, minerals, and other substances on human health, as well as determining their maximum allowable doses in food products intended to be marketed as dietary supplements.
These proposals have been taken into account while adopting the Law.
We look forward to the proper development of relevant bylaws for transparent and effective implementation of the Law in the next six months.
