AmCham Ukraine welcomes the adoption in the second reading and as a whole of Draft Law #12230, amending certain legislative acts of Ukraine on the peculiarities of privatization of state and municipal property objects transferred for lease (Draft Law), considering the proposals of the business community, namely:
- on exclusion of port infrastructure facilities from the scope of the said Draft Law;
- on the need to develop separate special rules for the privatization of such port infrastructure facilities.
We look forward to the soonest signing of the respective Law by the President of Ukraine and express our readiness to actively participate in the process of discussing and developing a separate Draft Law to establish the specifics of the privatization of individually defined port infrastructure facilities used under a lease agreement by a business entity that has made improvements to such property.
