On April 23, 2024 the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine passed as a basis in the first reading Draft Law #9083 amending certain laws of Ukraine regarding the improvement of the procedure for wholesale and retail trade in vehicles by business entities registered with the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, dated March 3, 2023 (Draft Law).
This Draft Law aims to exempt entrepreneurs engaged in wholesale and retail trade of vehicles from re-registering used cars onto themselves. Upon the Draft Law’s adoption, it will simplify bureaucratic processes and formalize the used car trade, which will help increase tax revenues and create legal jobs.
The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine welcomes the passing of the Draft Law as a basis and supports its further adoption if proposals from the business community are taken into account.
