July 5, 2022

US President Joe Biden congratulated the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine on its 30th anniversary.

In a letter sent to the Chamber, President Biden stressed that this historic milestone comes at a time when the relationship between the United States and Ukraine is stronger than ever and is being tested more than ever.

"As the Ukrainian people continue to be subjected to violence and devastation due to Russia's unprovoked war, the work of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine has never been more important. Thank you for being a vital resource for Ukrainians as they strive to overcome these unprecedented challenges and build free markets to serve free people everywhere," President Biden wrote.

As stated in the letter, the United States remains committed to leading the world with allies and partners in responding in a united and decisive way against Russia's premeditated war, which has brought the catastrophic loss of life and needless human suffering.

"As you mark this milestone anniversary, know that I am grateful for your efforts in promoting a robust partnership between our two countries and for your commitment to rebuilding a free, peaceful, and prosperous Ukraine. By advancing commercial cooperation and supporting mutual economic growth through exports and jobs, you are also helping Ukrainians in their fight for freedom," US President expressed gratitude to the Chamber.

For 30 years, the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine has been uniting and delivering the shared voice of best-in-class US, international and Ukrainian companies, who invested over $50 bln in Ukraine and remain committed to the country till today during the war.

"Our Nation and the world are truly inspired by the perseverance of your staff, your member companies, and your employees and their families. Thank you for all that you have done and for all that you will continue to do in the years ahead," President Biden highlighted.

"We are grateful to President Biden for the unprecedented support and high recognition of our team and members' work. AmCham Ukraine is delighted to be the voice and unite top-caliber investors and job creators, believing and investing in Ukraine since 1992. We look forward to working together with US Government, bolstering Ukraine's rebuilding momentum, advancing economic recovery, and shaping the prosperous future of Ukraine," commented Andy Hunder, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine.
