Sayenko Kharenko proudly announces entering the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), a set of guidelines designed to advance gender equality and women’s empowerment in the workplace, marketplace, and community.

The WEPs serve as a pivotal vehicle for corporate contributions to the gender equality dimensions of the 2030 agenda and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. By joining the WEPs community, Sayenko Kharenko signals a dedication to cultivating business practices that empower women. Key components include advocating for equal pay for work of equal value, implementing gender-responsive supply chain practices, and maintaining zero tolerance against sexual harassment in the workplace.

At Sayenko Kharenko, we believe that all businesses stand to benefit from greater equality for women. Joining over 3,000 other business leaders worldwide who have adopted these principles, we are committed to these principles.

“As an organisation deeply committed to social responsibility and ethical practices, Sayenko Kharenko is proud to join the global movement of companies advancing gender equality by embracing the Women’s Empowerment Principles. Our decision underscores our belief that a diverse and inclusive workforce, representative of women at all levels, fuels innovation, progress, and sustainability. By integrating these principles in our day to day work we seek to cultivate an environment that values diversity and helps to unlock everyone’s potential. We are committed to providing equal opportunities, breaking down barriers, and empowering women to excel and lead across all levels of our organisation. Through championing the WEPs, we aim to pioneer critical changes, positively impact our community, and pave the way for a more just and equitable society where all people, regardless of gender, can fully participate and thrive” – commented Nazar Chernyavsky, Partner of Sayenko Kharenko.

Sayenko Kharenko is already analysing and exploring ways to improve its internal structure further to achieve gender equality. The company has reached great results by the end of 2023, with a 56% female and 44% male balance. The firm is also trying to increase women’s participation in crucial positions. Currently, the firm’s partners are 35% female and 65% male.
