Asters Partner Markiyan Kliuchkovskyi has been appointed as one of 12 members of Arbitration Council of the Georgian International Arbitration Centre, a leading dispute resolution institution in the Caucasus – Black Sea – Caspian Region.
In September 2020, the GIAC Board unanimously adopted the renewed composition of GIAC Council consisting of renowned practitioners representing the world's leading law firms in International Arbitration. The functions of Arbitration Council are to ensure the efficient conduct of the arbitration proceedings and the compliance of these proceedings with the GIAC Arbitration Rules. The Arbitration Council makes decisions on the appointment of members of an arbitral tribunal or its chairperson, issues related to the challenges of arbitrators, etc.
Earlier, Asters Partners Markiyan Kliuchkovskyi and Yaroslav Petrov, as well as Counsel Dmytro Shemelin were approved as recommended arbitrators of the GIAC.
