Asters acted as a Ukrainian legal counsel to AIRO Group Holdings Inc. (USA), Nasdaq listed company, in connection with execution of a definitive agreement for creation of a transatlantic defence joint venture between AIRO Drone, LLC, its wholly owned subsidiary, and Nord Drone Group LLC (Ukraine). The new venture aims to expand drone production to meet the needs of key defence industry markets, and will combine AIRO's USA-based manufacturing and procurement expertise with Nord Drone's combat-proven technologies and European production capabilities.
The Nord-Drone group of companies currently produces approximately 4,000 drones per month, including FPV strike units, loitering munitions, and multi-role bombers. Its flagship models, NORD-10 and NORD-15, offer ranges up to 15 km and payloads up to 4.5 kg, featuring advanced GPS/GLONASS/BeiDou navigation and proprietary control systems.
The joint venture intends to prioritize rapid production and deployment of combat-proven drones that directly support current USA and NATO defence directives.
The Asters team working on the project included Partner Oleksiy Demyanenko, Counsel Oleksandr Khomenko and Senior Associate Ihor Pavliukov.
AIRO Group Holdings Inc. is a multi-faceted aerospace, autonomy, and air mobility company with differentiated technologies and capabilities that address high-growth market trends across the aerospace and aviation ecosystems.
