Asters' International Trade team is pleased to congratulate Ukrainian agricultural industry with completion of the interim and expiry reviews of anti-dumping measures against imports of ammonium nitrate and cancellation of the measures being in place for more than 10 years.
The measures were introduced back in 2008 followed by a number of complex reviews and appeals, the most recent include WTO case Ukraine – Ammonium nitrate, and two reviews launched in 2019 and 2020. In its decision, the ICIT terminated the anti-dumping measures and both ongoing reviews.
Asters represented defense acting for foreign fertilizers producer's association in the interim review. The case was handled by Asters Partner Gleb Bialyi (who has been advising on this matter since the initial 2008 investigation) and Counsel Anton Sintsov.
Asters has one of the most dynamic and established practices in international trade in the country. The International Trade team represented defense in 14 out of 15 trade investigations initiated by Ukraine in 2019 -2020. The practice is highlighted by 2020 edition of The Legal 500 International Trade review as "the only firm in Ukraine that focuses on the defence of trade investigations".
