AmCham Ukraine shortlisted for European Creative Network Award

October 2ndt, 2020

The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine has been shortlisted for the 2020 AmChams in Europe (ACE) Creative Network Award for the Leadership in Times of Crisis project, a CNN-format online series of video interviews with AmCham member companies’ CEOs.

AmCham Ukraine launched the Leadership in Times of Crisis project in April 2020 in order to give members a platform to communicate the new realities of work, how to lead during uncertainty, inform how businesses have been impacted and share experience on how companies help local communities during Covid-19 pandemic.

One hundred 10-minute video interviews, the majority in English, have demonstrated an organic reach significantly higher than of standard social media posts. The videos have proven to be popular as they inspire with stories and facts. All videos are available for the public to view on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and AmCham website. Well-liked by the members, companies and employees re-share the videos on their own social media.

“We launched the Leadership in Times of Crisis project for our members to help them and get their messages across during these uncertain times. I am grateful to all AmCham Ukraine members and our dream team here in Kyiv for their commitment and inspiration,” commented Andy Hunder, AmCham Ukraine President.

“We wanted to show our members that we care. Communications is fundamental for leaders in times of crisis and we stepped forward to help our members when they needed it most. We are delighted to share this best practice with our colleagues across 43 AmChams Europe,” commented Yuliana Chyzhova, Senior Communications Officer, owner of the Leadership in Times of Crisis endeavor.

The eye-catching design and format were created by Boris Kuleshov, AmCham Ukraine’s uber-creative Senior Marketing Coordinator.

The six shortlisted 2020 European Creative Network Award finalists are AmCham EU (Covid-19 Portal), AmCham Germany (Female Founders Award), AmCham Israel (Outsight - Imagine the Future of Work), AmCham Kosovo (Virtual Forums), AmCham Slovenia (YOUng Platform), and AmCham Ukraine with Leadership in Times of Crisis.

The AmChams in Europe Creative Network Award was established in 2014 with the aim of incentivizing AmChams to share creative initiatives and projects, for the benefit of AmChams throughout the ACE network.

43 directors of AmChams when selecting a winner will be looking for projects that are creative and innovative in nature, that have had a meaningful impact on the AmCham and members, with a clear potential to benefit other AmChams within the ACE network. The winner will be announced during the ACE annual meeting on October 14th.

Previous Winners of the award were Belgium (2019), UK (2018), and EU (2017).
