The meeting was devoted to the discussion of novelties introduced to the Laws “On Depositary System of Ukraine” and “On Joint-Stock Companies”, according to which from January 1, 2024, electronic meetings of shareholders, as well as the registration of company shares for limited and additional liability companies will be established. It will provide companies with better protection of their corporate rights and open up new possibilities such as liquid collateral, escrow mechanism, and e-voting.
