GR Professionals Network Event "Reporting Practices under the Lobbying Law: Challenges for Business and European Experience"

The meeting will be dedicated to discussing the first practical experience of preparing and submitting reports in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Lobbying". Participants will be able to exchange experiences on the main challenges that companies have faced during this process, as well as discuss possible ways to improve the reporting mechanism.

Special attention will be paid to European practices of lobbying transparency, in particular the experience of maintaining and reporting within the EU Transparency Register, and the possibility of applying such approaches in Ukrainian realities. Participants will have the opportunity to share their own practical cases, ask questions to experts, and participate in the formation of joint recommendations to improve the reporting process.

Panel 1. Reporting practices under the Lobbying Law: challenges for business and expectations from the system

Topics for discussion:

  • Main difficulties that companies encountered during the preparation of the first reports.
  • Legal requirements that raise the most practical questions;
  • How clear are the criteria for determining activities that are reportable as lobbying?
  • Companies’ experience on how to organize internal processes for collecting information for reporting;
  • What aspects of the report form and structure need to be improved?
  • What changes or additional clarifications could make the reporting mechanism more practical for businesses?

  • What are the key differences between the Ukrainian and European reporting models?
  • What elements of European practice could be useful for the further development of the Ukrainian lobbying regulation system?

The event will be held in Ukrainian. Simultaneous translation will not be provided.

The meeting will be held under Chatham House rules and is open for employees of Chamber member companies only.
