During the meeting participants discussed the following:
- Fighting with the “grey” import. AmCham members’ position on criminalization of commodity smuggling and authorizing the State Customs Service to conduct operative investigation activity as tools to combat shadow imports. Proposals on development of a definition of a commodity (commercial) lot to avoid abuse by individuals using postal parcels
- Proposals on improvement of the Single Window work
- Customs valuation and classification issues. AmCham members’ position on possibility to abolish classification decisions
- Automated risk analysis and management system and application of risk criteria
- Recently developed draft amendments to the Customs Code regarding improvement of post-clearance audit, developed by the State Customs Service
- Draft Law #3037 amending the Customs Code for improvement of customs policy
