This lecture was designed to help participants identify and overcome barriers to change and unlock personal potential. Conceptual discussions and application exercises focused on discovering and implementing creative strategies for personal transformation. The workshop followed DARE, a personal change management system organized around the four pillars of personal transformation: direction, attitude, relationships, and execution.
The participants were empowered to:
- Align with a personal mission to increase clarity and motivation
- Exercise agency by choosing productive patterns of thought and action
- Initiate mentoring relationships needed for success
- Discover and adopt strategies to improve personal executive effectiveness
Lecturer:
Dr. Yuriy Bots, Dean of the School of Management and Visiting Professor at American University Kyiv.
Dr. Bots is also an Associate Professor of Economics in the Business and Leadership Department at William Jewell College. Yuriy Bots received Ph.D. in Economics from Purdue University and has had prior industry experience working as an economist. In recognition of his contributions to William Jewell College he has been twice appointed as the endowed chair designated as the John W. Boatwright Professor of Economics. Dr. Bots’ research focuses on international trade, productivity in the service sector, and stock market reaction to M&A. His most recent work includes cross-disciplinary projects that explore leadership issues in non-profit organizations and the impact of developing metacognitive skills on reducing cognitive errors and emotional biases.
