Orders of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine №281 "On approval of the Procedure for application of measures to promote the protection of intellectual property rights and interaction of customs authorities with right holders, declarants and other interested persons and Amendments to certain regulations of the Ministry of Finance28" changes to the Procedure for registration in the customs register of objects of intellectual property rights, which are protected in accordance with the law".
In particular, the Orders provide for:
- procedure for suspending customs clearance of goods on the basis of customs register data;
- procedure of suspension of customs clearance of goods at the initiative of the customs authority;
- destruction of goods, customs clearance of which is suspended on suspicion of violating IPR;
- suspension of customs clearance and destruction of small consignments of goods moving (shipped) across the customs border of Ukraine in international postal and express shipments;
- procedure for changing the labeling on goods and their packaging;
- storage of goods and reimbursement of expenses to customs authorities related to the storage of goods, customs clearance of which has been suspended in accordance with Articles 399, 400 or 4011 of the Code;
- submission and consideration of the application for registration of the IPR object in the customs register, application for extension of the term of registration of the IPR object in the customs register, entering information into the customs register and its maintenance;
- the procedure for filling in the column of the application for registration of an IPR object in the customs register, the application for extension of the term of registration of an IPR object in the customs register;
- publication of information from the customs register;
