McDonald’s Opens Its 130th Restaurant in Ukraine in Uman

McDonald’s Opens Its 130th Restaurant in Ukraine in Uman

On August 26, McDonald’s opened its first restaurant in Uman at 6 Stepana Bandery Street, marking the opening of the 130th McDonald’s restaurant operating in Ukraine.

The new restaurant is located at the entrance to Uman, along one of the country’s key road routes, the M-05 Kyiv–Odesa highway. Its convenient location will serve both local residents and travelers passing through the city. The restaurant was opened in partnership with Grand Petrol, an oil and gas station network. It is the eighth McDonald’s restaurant in Ukraine developed in partnership with a fuel station complex and the second joint project between McDonald’s and Grand Petrol.

The new McDonald’s covers more than 470 square meters and offers 230 seats across the dining area and outdoor terrace. The dining area is open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., while McDrive operates from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., allowing customers to stop for breakfast or enjoy their favorite McDonald’s meals while on the road from early morning. Customers can place their orders using self-service digital terminals іn the restaurant, through McDrive, or via Mobile Order in the McDonald’s app. The app also features the Rewards program, which allows customers to earn points on their purchases and redeem them for their favorite menu items.

The opening of the first McDonald’s restaurant in Uman has created 60 new jobs. McDonald’s offers official employment, competitive and stable pay, flexible schedules, training, and opportunities for professional development within an international company. Candidates can join the team without prior work experience, including young people aged 16 and over.

Like all McDonald’s restaurants in Ukraine, the new Uman location operates under enhanced safety procedures. In the event of an air-raid alert, the restaurant temporarily suspends operations to allow employees and customers to move to the nearest shelter. Service resumes once the alert is over. Employees receive their full salary regardless of the amount of time they spend in the shelter during their shift.
