Strengthening rule of law, ensuring real and effective judicial reform, fair justice, and transparent selection of judges at all levels remain among AmCham’s 10 Priorities for Ukraine’s Economic Recovery.
AmCham Ukraine President Andy Hunder, Vice President Tetyana Prokopchuk, Board of Directors members, Legal and Personal Data Protection Committees Co-Chairs and members met with Iryna Mudra, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine and her team.
In focus:
- further implementation of judicial reform and ensuring the effective functioning of the justice system in Ukraine, including strengthening legal certainty, predictability of judicial decisions, and trust in judicial institutions
- protection of investors’ rights in the context of improving legal mechanisms and guarantees, which remain essential for attracting investment and supporting Ukraine’s recovery efforts
- functioning of the international compensation mechanism, including the current state of its development, key architectural elements, and practical steps toward its implementation, as well as its role in ensuring accountability and compensation for damages caused by Russia’s aggression against Ukraine
The discussion also highlighted the importance of strengthening the rule of law through continued dialogue between the business community and public authorities on key legal reforms that contribute to a more transparent and predictable environment.
