Vodafone Invested Over UAH 5.3 Billion in Ukraine’s Economy during the First Nine Months of 2025

Vodafone’s investments in Ukraine have exceeded UAH 20 billion since the start of the full-scale war

Vodafone Ukraine demonstrated business stability and positive dynamics of its key operational and financial indicators for the first nine months of 2025. The company’s revenue for the three quarters reached UAH 20.4 billion. OIBDA for this period exceeded UAH 10.6 billion, with an OIBDA margin of 51.9%. Vodafone’s net profit amounted to UAH 2.9 billion. The average revenue per user (ARPU) in Q3 2025 was UAH 137.7 per month.

Sustained growth has enabled the company to further increase its investments – Vodafone raised its capital expenditures by 57%, investing over UAH 5.3 billion in the country’s critical infrastructure during the first nine months of 2025. More than half of the total investment volume was directed towards the development, restoration and enhancement of network resilience in case of prolonged power outages. The company continues to invest heavily in network maintenance as well as in the expansion of fixed broadband access based on modern GPON technology.

During the first nine months of 2025, Vodafone expanded its GPON network coverage by 47%. As of October 1, 2025, 1.6 million households in Ukraine have GPON internet access provided by Vodafone. Over this period, the number of home internet users on modern GPON technology increased by 34%. The company also upgraded the Frinet network to GPON technology in 1,261 buildings, reaching 105,000 households. Revenue from GPON internet services doubled, growing by 103% compared to the same period in 2024.

Overall, since the start of the full-scale war, Vodafone has invested over UAH 20 billion in Ukraine, including more than UAH 2 billion to enhance the network’s energy resilience. Even during wartime, Vodafone engineers make every effort to ensure customers stay connected and continue to enjoy fast and reliable mobile internet. As a result, during previous large-scale blackouts, Vodafone’s overall network availability remained at 90%, even in regions affected by prolonged power outages.

Key social and marketing initiatives of Vodafone Ukraine in Q3 2025:

  • New tariff offers. Vodafone Ukraine launched a new FLEXX tariff line, designed for convenient use of mobile services both in Ukraine and across the European Union. Customers who switch to Vodafone with their existing number enjoy special benefits – a monthly fee discount, unlimited data, and bonus minutes for one year.
  • Digital education and entrepreneurship development. Together with U&WE HUB, Vodafone Ukraine launched an educational program “Your Business in the Phone” for women entrepreneurs in Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Chernivtsi. Over four weeks, 80 participants receive free training on digital tools for effective business management via smartphone – from using Google services to content creation and social media marketing.
  • Charity initiatives. In partnership with the PULSE Charitable Foundation, Vodafone Ukraine provided Special Operations Forces’ 4th Regiment medics with pre-hospital blood transfusion equipment and conducted tactical medicine training based on NATO standards. Within the framework of the “League of Warmth” initiative, launched by Vodafone and the “Tvoya Opora” foundation, the company financed the installation of heat pumps at the Kyiv Regional Children’s Hospital, ensuring safe heating for over 300,000 children in the region.
  • Educational innovation. In cooperation with the State University “Kyiv Aviation Institute,” Vodafone opened Ukraine’s first university-based 5G Lab, equipped with Nokia technology, allowing students to test next-generation network capabilities. Additionally, the university introduced KAYA, an AI consultant – an avatar powered by OpenAI and Microsoft Azure technologies that assists applicants 24/7.
  • International cooperation and infrastructure recovery. During the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Rome, Vodafone Ukraine, Nokia, and the Finnish export credit agency Finnvera signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to modernize Ukraine’s digital infrastructure. The initiative provides for financing of Nokia equipment and services worth up to €30 million to expand 4G and GPON networks and prepare for next-generation technologies.

The customer base remains stable compared to the previous quarter, totaling 15.4 million customers.
