IV International Exhibition & Conference “ReBuild Ukraine: Construction & Energy”

IV International Exhibition & Conference “ReBuild Ukraine: Construction & Energy”

Re-build and modernize Ukraine’s vital infrastructure (ports, health and education facilities, waste management, water & sewage supply utilities) based on best EU practices are among AmCham’s 10 Priorities for Ukraine’s Economic Recovery. At ReBuild Ukraine 2024 Trade Mission in Warsaw, AmCham Ukraine cultivated an active dialogue between key stakeholders to accelerate Ukraine’s recovery efforts.

AmCham Ukraine delegation, led by Lenna Koszarny, AmCham Ukraine Board of Directors Chair, Founding Partner and CEO of Horizon Capital, and Nataliya Chervona, AmCham Ukraine Business Development Director, was honored to welcome a U.S. Delegation of 25 companies representing diverse industries from the States of California, North Carolina, and Washington. These companies, spanning the construction, energy and technology sectors, have shown a shared commitment to supporting Ukraine’s reconstruction.

A highlight of the ReBuild Ukraine 2024 Trade Mission was a collaborative dinner hosted in partnership with the American Chamber of Commerce in Poland. The event featured Richard R. Verma, Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources and Acting U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine’s Economic Recovery. The participants shared insights on the U.S.-Ukraine partnership and strategies for creating a recovery-ready business environment in Ukraine.

As part of the event, some AmCham member companies also took part in the EU-Ukraine Investment Conference, organized by the European Commission in cooperation with the Government of Ukraine.  During the Conference, the EU launched a Call for Expression of Interest to mobilize private EU investment in critical areas to support Ukraine’s rebuilding efforts.

Under the Call, EU businesses, including joint ventures, or consortia involving both EU and Ukrainian companies, are invited to submit proposals until 1st March 2025. Proposals will be reviewed and connected to the best suited investment projects funded by the Ukraine Investment Framework, which is an integral pillar under the EU’s €50 billion Ukraine Facility. By encouraging business partnerships and EU private sector engagement in Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction, the EU also helps further integration of Ukraine into the EU Single Market.

ReBuild Ukraine 2024 highlighted the strong partnership between Ukrainian businesses, the U.S. government and the European Union. AmCham is grateful to Richard Verma, Tyson Barker, the U.S. Embassy Warsaw and all the partners who participated in these discussions.
