On July 5, 2024 the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (CMU) adopted the Resolution #782 amending the peculiarities of public procurement of goods, works and services for customers as provided for by the Law of Ukraine “On Public Procurement” for the period of martial law in Ukraine and within 90 days from the date of its termination or cancellation.
Among the provisions presented by the CMU Resolution #782, the Chamber Member Companies' experts advocated, in particular, for the adoption of amendments that provide for the non-application of threshold values established by the Law of Ukraine “On Ukraine's Accession to the Government Procurement Agreement (GPA)” as well as the provisions on public procurement of other international treaties of Ukraine, to the procurement of goods originating from countries that are parties to such agreements.
The adoption of said amendments will positively impact companies that act as component manufacturers and distributors of goods originating from countries that are parties to the relevant agreements, reducing the administrative burden and providing clarity on the degree of localization requirements.
The Chamber welcomes the adoption of the CMU Resolution #782 and expresses gratitude to Nadiia Bihun, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine as well as the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine team for productive cooperation with the business community.
