AmCham Ukraine member companies support the joint-stock company “Ukrainian Railways” (JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”) in using “ProZorro.Sale” in its operating activities, in particular, in the distribution of freight wagons, as well as for the sale of non-core assets.
The “ProZorro.Sale” platform ensures transparent distribution of wagons among all market participants, eliminates abuses in the distribution of state-deficit wagons, and also guarantees shippers the availability of wagons for use. At the same time, to ensure sustainable grain exports, the business needs to have:
- a smooth railway transportation of grain by increasing the “speed” of rolling stock rotation and involving more locomotives, including privately-owned, to ensure timely delivery of cargos to ports.
- a transparent distribution of freight wagons between market participants.
Additionally, the business welcomes the initiative of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” to sell the company’s non-core assets through the system “ProZorro. Sale”. According to Oleksandr Kamyshin, Acting Head of the Board of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”, the proceeds from the sale of the non-core property will be invested in the development of railway infrastructure, repair works, and the purchase of locomotives.
AmCham Ukraine member companies are convinced that using the “ProZorro. Sale” system will attract a wide range of participants and monitor the transparency of procurement activities.
