On March 29, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine adopted Order #593 “On Guidelines for a state health technology assessment for medicines”. The Guidelines complies with international standards, including the EU ones.
The Guidelines contains recommendations for realizing the state health technology assessment (HTA), taking into account its' objectives and type of technology.
The document provides methodological information on the application and realization of HTA for all stakeholders in Ukraine.
The adoption of the Guidelines is an important stage in the further development of the institutional capacity of the HTA system in Ukraine, scaling up access to efficient health technologies, improvement of the administration of state funding expenditures, and transparency of the healthcare system.
The Chamber Healthcare Committee's experts were actively engaged in the development of the Guidelines, in particular provided quality expertise, proposals, and comments for the settlement of Guidelines' provisions.
The Chamber has been continuously supporting the HTA implementation and will continue to provide expertise to transform Ukraine's healthcare system.
