On March 26, 2021, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine presented the first in Ukraine certificate of Authorized Economic Operator (AEO). The status of AEO was acquired by JTI Ukraine, which received AEO authorization in Ukraine in accordance with EU practice and standards.
The certificate confirms the right to use simplifications during customs procedures. The introduction of the AEO program is one of the first European integration steps of Ukraine in the customs sphere.
The event was attended by Minister of Finance of Ukraine Serhiy Marchenko, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy Danylo Hetmantsev, Deputy Minister of Finance of Ukraine Yuriy Draganchuk, Chairman of the State Customs Service Pavlo Ryabikin, business representatives.
