On February 22, 2024, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted Draft Law #9266 “On Electronic Agricultural Receipts” (Draft Law) in the second reading and as a whole, with the support of 263 Members of Parliament.
This Draft Law amends the legislation on agricultural receipts, which will contribute to improving the access of agricultural producers to production resources and financing inter alia, in the part of:
- establishment of a new instrument in the form of an electronic non-emission security paper in order to increase its reliability and reduce the issuance cost;
- automatic verification of agricultural producer data, which reduces the risk of human error;
- improved execution to ensure the repayment of the loan in case of agricultural producer’s default.
AmCham Ukraine welcomes the adoption of Draft Law #9266 and looks forward to successful implementation of the innovations provided by it.
