AmCham Ukraine welcomes the adoption of Draft Law #7282 “On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine on Priority Measures for Reforming Urban Development Sphere” (Draft Law) by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in the second reading.
The Draft Law ensures:
- placement and construction of buildings intended for the life support of persons who lost their homes as a result of military actions
- location of production facilities of enterprises relocated (evacuated) as a result of russia’s war against Ukraine
- implementation of measures for the comprehensive restoration of settlements (territories) affected by the war
Development of urban planning activities through the involvement of the private sector is one of the key priorities of the AmCham Infrastructure Committee. We are convinced that implementing this Draft Law will allow starting a comprehensive recovery and restoration of Ukraine after the consequences of russia’s military aggression, given the scale of destruction and required significant reconstruction resources.
