The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine welcomes passing the Draft Law #5094 regarding legislative regulation in the field of outdoor advertising (Draft Law) in the first reading by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on June 3, 2021.
The Draft Law envisages:
- introduction of a unified procedure for placing outdoor advertising, implementation of permitting and approval procedures and issuance of permits for outdoor advertising
- introduction of an open electronic information database of outdoor advertising by permitting bodies
- development of placement schemes of outdoor advertising
- determining the powers of local governments and public authorities to monitor compliance with legislation on advertising
Business community supports Draft Law #5094, as it provides an opportunity to resolve most of the current industry’s issues, eliminate legislative gaps, create optimal conditions for the development of outdoor advertising according to European standards.
