On June 4, 2026, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (CMU) adopted Resolution #742 “On Amendments to Certain CMU Resolutions regarding the Improvement of the Medicines Reimbursement Scheme”.
Following a constructive dialogue with experts from member companies of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine (AmCham), the Draft Resolution was amended, in particular with regard to:
- ensuring the confidentiality of information concerning the wholesale price specified in the applicant’s guarantee letter
- defining additional conditions for the reimbursement of medicinal products containing the active substances dapagliflozin and empagliflozin. Account has been taken of the need to ensure access to appropriate treatment for patients with type 2 diabetes who have documented contraindications to or intolerance of metformin
The AmCham thanks the Ministry of Health of Ukraine for the open dialogue and for partially taking the business community’s proposals into account, and looks forward to continued predictability, transparency, and stability in the operation of the reimbursement program.
