On February 2, 2024, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine made a relevant decision to launch an experimental project in Ukraine to introduce a unified approach for certifying mine action operators and processes.
AmCham member companies, in particular representatives of the AmCham Security and Defense Committee, repeatedly raised the issue of the imperfection of the current rules and procedures for obtaining the status of a mine action operator in Ukraine, which are quite complicated and require the establishment of transparent and clear mechanisms in order to create and launch the market of international mine action operators in Ukraine.
Therefore, the AmCham member companies welcome the decision adopted by the Government of Ukraine, which will allow optimization of each component of the entire complex of mine countermeasures and speed up the clearing and demining of Ukraine's territory.
