The Ministry of Health of Ukraine (MoH) will not submit for state registration the Draft Order restricting clinical trials to a predefined list of healthcare institutions, including university clinics. After analyzing the comments received during the public consultations on the Draft Order, the industry’s concerns regarding potential risks to the clinical trials sector in Ukraine have been considered and taken into account.
AmCham Ukraine member companies’ experts highlighted that the Draft Order would contradict legislation, create anti-competitive conditions, and limit access to clinical trials, while misaligning with European Union standards.
We welcome MoH’s decision and appreciate its openness to dialogue. The AmCham supports the development of the clinical trials sector in Ukraine, ensuring proper protection of patients’ rights and creating favorable conditions for attracting international investment.
