The president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine has called on the business advocacy’s members to “reconsider operations in Russia”, accusing the Kremlin of “murdering innocent Ukrainians”.
“The Kremlin has launched a despicable criminal war against Ukraine . . . I call on American Chamber of Commerce companies’ headquarters to reconsider their operations in Russia,” Andy Hunder, president of Amcham in Ukraine, said on Sunday.
He continued: “Why continue to support and operate under a pariah Putin regime? I ask members of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine to contact your head offices immediately and inform them of the cruel suffering the Kremlin unleashes on all Ukrainians. I beg you to stand up to stop this killing in 21st century Europe.”
Hunder, a British national of Ukrainian roots, added: “I want to thank each and every person who is fighting with weapon in hand defending Ukraine. This heroism of lionhearted Ukrainians is recognised and admired across the globe.”
