Travel Update Effective February 21st, 2022

Ukraine airspace continues to stay open, alhtough do to security concerns, some carriers cancel their flights

Currently such carriers are listed below:

  • Austrian Airlines (flights to Kyiv and Odesa suspended; flights to Lviv are operated in business as usual mode) till February 28th
  • SAS Scandinavian airlines has suspended flights to/from Ukraine till February 28th
  • Vueling has suspended flights from Paris to Kyiv till February 28th
  • KLM has also extended cancellations introduced earlier

Not listed carriers are expected to operate in business as usual mode.

The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine has advised that Ukraine International Airlines will take over flights operations on the routes to Munich and Geneva.

The situation with visas issuance by the Consulates of some Embassies which moved their missions from Kyiv to Lviv is currently not definitely clear. Thus, in accordance with the information available for the time being the US Embassy has stopped providing Consular Services in the US Embassy in Kyiv and the temporary relocated consular office in Lviv will not be providing any consular/visa services either.

Please be advised:

1. For already booked trips

In case your trips is booked for the currenct week – we encourage you to track changes in flight operations frequently on both sites of the carrier and the airport.

Your travel consultants at Obriy are also tracking this information and will do their best to proactively contact impacted passengers whenever possible.

At the same time if changes become massive, we may face capacity issues for timely proactive contacts and we count on your cooperation as well.

2. New requests to book trips

In case you want to book trip (and have all details of traveler(s), dates, destination) – please contact your travel team at their regular contact details, we are operating in business as usual mode for such requests.

3. Requests for information/consultation for business continuity planning (relocations/evacuations)

In case you need information (options, advise, availability check) for Business Continuity Plans – possibility  of organization of transportation or accommodation for large groups and you do not yet have any dates, or precise quantity of passengers/lists or precise destination – such requests are not being handled by your regular traveler care teams. In case the request can be formalized, such requests are handled by our temporary project team and it comes at additional charge. Please, kindly note, the capacity of this project team is also limited therefore the possibility to provide service and terms attached will be confirmed for every single request/case. 4. Obriy services continuity in case of further escalation

Obriy together with American Express GBT is working on our BCP (including possibility of transfer of service outside of the country) to ensure service continuity in case of State of emergency in Ukraine or any other case when Obriy will no longer be able to continue operations. The details will be communicated to our GBT customers via global contacts in case the plan gets invoked. In case you are our local customer and you want such or similar plan to be applicable to your relationship with Obriy – please contact your client manager or reply to this letter which will land with corporate department of Obriy Inc.
