Pechersk School International (PSI Kyiv) has released Learning Against the War, a new documentary film telling the story of how its school community continues to learn, lead, and stay connected amid the ongoing war in Ukraine.
Produced in-house by the Pechersk School International team, the documentary reflects the school’s commitment to continuity, care, and community during one of the most challenging periods in Ukraine’s modern history. Set in Kyiv, the film highlights the lived reality of students, educators, school leaders, and families who continue to uphold the value of education even under extraordinary circumstances.
As one of Ukraine’s leading international schools, PSI has worked to maintain high-quality learning while adapting to the realities of wartime life. The documentary offers a powerful glimpse into that experience and into the resilience required to sustain both educational excellence and human connection.
Beyond being a film, Learning Against the War is also a tribute — to educators, students, parents, and all those who continue to stand for learning in the darkest of times.
By producing this documentary internally, PSI was able to tell its story with authenticity and care, grounded in the voice of its own community.
The school hopes the film will help wider audiences better understand not only the challenges facing education in Ukraine today, but also the strength, dedication, and hope that continue to shape its future.
