AmCham Ukraine members-representatives of the U.S. agricultural companies recently met with Megan Francic, newly appointed Agricultural Attache, U.S. Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Embassy team in Kyiv to discuss key challenges companies face operating in Ukraine under the martial law.
In focus:
- reservation of employees;
- electricity outages during the wartime;
- demining of agricultural lands;
- functioning of Ukrainian deep water Black Sea ports and continuous export of grains & oilseeds to the world markets;
- legislative initiatives and regulations that introduce new rules for the export of grains;
- cancellation of the import duty on tractors with a capacity of up to 75 kW.
We are grateful to the U.S. Embassy team for the regular dialog and tremendous support of the U.S. business operating in Ukraine.
