AmCham Food & Beverage and Retail & E-Commerce Committees’ leadership met with Serhii Tkachuk, the Head of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection (SSUFSCP), to discuss key issues in food safety, including:
- SSUFSCP plans for 2025: Expanding international markets, aligning Ukraine’s legislation with the EU one, and strengthening laboratory capacity.
- Legislation harmonization: Regular meetings with SSUFSCP to develop proposals on responsible marketing and public health regulations.
- Food import ban from Germany: Discussion on potential revisions following updates on foot-and-mouth disease containment.
