On May 3, AmCham Ukraine members met with Oleksandr Ilkov, Director General of the Government Office for the Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration.
During the meeting participants discussed:
- peculiarities of the process of Ukraine's integration into the European Union
- defining the structure of the negotiation team and its interaction with all parties involved
- key features of discussion and agreement of negotiating positions
- possible mechanisms of the business community’s involvement in the negotiation process
- status update regarding conclusion of the Agreement on Conformity Assessment and Acceptance of Industrial Products (ACAA)
- expertise of the Draft Law #7585 “On Medical Devices” for compliance with EU legislation
AmCham is grateful to Oleksandr Ilkov for the open and constructive dialogue, Anzhela Makhinova, Head of the AmCham Ukraine Working Group on International Trade, and all participants for their active engagement in the discussion. Accelerating Ukraine’s membership in the European Union by approximating national legislation in competition, customs, healthcare, IPR, media, and other spheres is one of the AmCham Ukraine 10 Priorities for Ukraine’s Post-War Economic Recovery.
