AmCham Ukraine held a meeting with Kristina Mikulova, Head of the Regional Hub for Eastern Europe at the European Investment Bank (EIB), bringing together representatives of the business community to discuss practical ways for cooperation.
The meeting focused on getting clarity for companies operating in Ukraine on how to effectively engage with the EIB and access available financing and project opportunities, particularly in the context of the ongoing recovery and reconstruction processes.
A key part of the conversation was dedicated to understanding how companies can participate in EIB-financed projects, not only as beneficiaries, but also as contractors, consultants, and service providers, including in sectors such as IT, infrastructure and energy.
In addition, participants explored the potential expansion of financial instruments, including guarantees, blended finance and risk-sharing mechanisms, which are particularly relevant in the current operating environment.
The meeting highlighted strong interest from the private sector in scaling cooperation with IFIs and underlined the important role of the financial sector in channeling investment into Ukraine’s recovery.
