Logistics Plus Inc., is proud to have facilitated a new Sister City partnership between the critical Ukrainian port city of Chornomorsk and Erie, Pennsylvania- the latest step in the company’s ongoing efforts to be a leader among U.S. companies in supporting Ukraine and opening pathways for other U.S. companies to enter the market. Headquartered in Erie, Pennsylvania, Logistics Plus is a global leader in logistics and supply chain solutions, operating in over 50 countries. The company offers comprehensive services, including freight forwarding, supply chain management, warehousing, customs brokerage, project cargo, and specialized transportation, ensuring seamless and efficient operations across industries.
In response to Russia’s 2022 invasion, Logistics Plus opened two offices in Ukraine and delivered over $1 million in humanitarian aid, including medical supplies and essential goods, demonstrating unwavering support. Since opening its operations office in the Spring of 2022, the company has delivered an immense amount of critical infrastructure and goods to Ukraine, often on behalf of other AmCham member companies, by rail, road, as well as Ukraine’s river and seaports.
Logistics Plus executives were on hand in Chornomorsk in December of 2024 to initiate the new Sister City Agreement between Erie and Chornomorsk Ukraine. This initiative fosters cultural, educational, and economic exchanges, strengthening ties between the two port cities. To further solidify this partnership, Logistics Plus presented letters of support from Erie organizations to Chornomorsk’s mayor, symbolizing a commitment to mutual growth and understanding. Planning is underway for an initial project in Chornomorsk under this program later in January 2025.
Additionally, Logistics Plus Founder and CEO Jim Berlin was appointed to the Business Advisory Council to the G-7+ Ukraine Donor Platform, joining representatives from Northrop Grumman and McDonald’s to support increased business engagement in Ukraine and enhance UDP planning and initiatives.
