The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine was absolutely honored to host an in-person EMPOWER Her & WELDI Round Table Discussion with Marisa Lago, US Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade, and US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget A. Brink in Kyiv, and member companies' female visionary leaders.
Since the launch of the EMPOWER HER initiative in 2022, Under Secretary Lago has made every effort to promote women’s economic empowerment and leadership in international trade. And AmCham’s WELDI platform is humbled to be a part this initiative.
Marisa Lago highlighted Ukrainian women's resilience during the full-scale invasion and reinsured US standing as Ukraine’s ally and friend in the fight for sovereignty, freedom, and democracy.
