The brand launched an exclusive color novelty in support of a charity project
Breast cancer – is the most common oncological disease among women. In 2020, more than 14,500 Ukrainian women were diagnosed with breast cancer. Every day 41 women learn that they have breast cancer.
For over 17 years, Mary Kay's PINK CHANGING LIVES initiative has been supporting women who have this diagnosis. As part of the initiative, the Ukrainian branch of the brand offers women who have undergone surgery to remove a malignant breast tumor to undergo a rehabilitation program free of charge. Mary Kay launches special products every year, part of its proceeds is used to fund a rehabilitation program.
With the support of the Women's Health and Family Planning Charitable Foundation, within the framework of the rehabilitation program, women undergo a complex of rehabilitation procedures, receive consultations from leading specialists, communicate with psychologists and other women who have encountered this diagnosis. The program helps to restore not only the physical, but also the psychological state. During the existence of the program, more than 5 million hryvnias have already been transferred for rehabilitation for Ukrainian women.
The PINK CHANGING LIVES initiative is fully funded from the sales of Mary Kay specialty products. In 2021 these are 2 exclusive shades of Mary Kay Unlimited lip gloss.
Mary Kay will donate 35 hryvnias from each sale of the limited-edition Mary Kay Unlimited™ Lip Gloss in Confident Pink and Hopeful Lilac shades to support the rehabilitation program for women facing breast cancer.
Additional benefits of the lip gloss:
- Nonsticky
- Effortless, zero-drag glide
